PMTI's People

Personnel

The combined technological experience and educational background of the PMTI staff covers a broad spectrum, ranging from materials disciplines (metals, ceramics, intermetallics and composites) to related engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, chemical) and from technology degrees to PhD degrees.

Bob Ritter, Project Leader, has over 30 years experience with integrating mechanical, electrical and materials technologies into customer projects. Bob has contributed to thermoelectric air conditioning, solar cell manufacturing development, tooling design, Tungsten heavy alloy manufacture and numerous other projects. Bob has a BS degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

Frank Przywarty, Project Leader, has over 45 years experience in the materials business. He has contributed to customer projects covering hot pressing, brazing, metal matrix and intermetallic matrix composite manufacture, phosphoric acid fuel cell performance testing and ultra-high vacuum processes. Frank has an Associate Degree from Penn State University.

Tim Delahanty, Project Leader, has responsibility for PMTI's Product line work in UHV testing, laser engraving, electropolishing and pickling. He also program manages the ongoing effort to develop and test high strength Aluminum alloy for use on defense projects. This process utilizes cryogenically milled Al alloy powder which is extruded in PMTI's DYNAPAK. Tim has a BS in Materials Science from the University of Pittsburgh and joined PMTI in 1999.

The remaining technical staff members are experienced in advanced materials development and production, and related areas of engineering and manufacturing technology. Their design and facility operations knowledge and experience cover a wide spectrum of areas that combine and interact to produce the unique capabilities package offered to PMTI's customers. PMTI's full time and part time staff includes: Sherry Brown, Jim Carr, Tim Delahanty, Norm Ferri, Bob Gold, Harry Grubich, Charles and Joanne Hall, Jeremy Lohr, Darryl Lohr, Art Martin, Carol Neill, George Parks, Danelle Rapacchietta, Paul Romanek, Rich Turko and Scott Turko.

The owners of PMTI are Joe and JoAnn Giglio. Joe Giglio, President of PMTI, is responsible for day-to-day operations as well as the strategic future of the organization. He has spent most of his career working in the field of electrical energy technology. His experience with Westinghouse Electric Corporation spanned two decades. As General Manager of the Westinghouse Advanced Energy Systems Division, Joe had responsibility for advanced nuclear power, fuel cell development and solar cell technology, as well as the Materials Technology Department that became PMTI in 1993. Joe has a BS degree from the US Merchant Marine Academy and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. JoAnn Giglio has an MS degree in Human Resource Management from La Roche College and a M. Ed. degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She works at PMTI managing a variety of administrative systems.
